Virginia and Leonard establish Hogarth Press
Virginia and Leonard move to Hogarth House, Richmond (near London) and decide to buy a printing press. They establish Hogarth Press in the basement of their home. This enabled Virginia to publish experimental fiction. The Voyage Out is published in March by Gerald Duckworth’s publishing house. Hogarth Press grows into a respected publishing house, putting out works from authors such as Katherine Mansfield, T.S. Eliot, and Sigmund Freud.
